I suppose this will be my first foray into the world of blogging.
Let me start with a little self introduction. My name is Wade Chow and I hail from the city of San Francisco. This will be my first semester here at SJSU after transferring from City College of San Francisco and what better way to get acquainted with the school than to start a blog? Alright, so a blog post for an advertising class may not be the greatest way to meet new people, but I am excited about my future prospects at this school.
Speaking of this advertising class, I want to talk about what types of ads really get me interested in buying a product.
When I was younger, I would love watching commercials that already incorporated things I liked at the time. This could be anything from a cartoon, sport, or video game. One such example would be the old Butterfinger's commercials that featured the Simpsons. As a kid, it didn't feel as if I was watching an ad, but more of a little mini series on my favorite show. Of course I would buy a Butterfinger bar only to find out that I really wasn't a fan of them, but I would buy them periodically simply because I saw that Bart Simpson liked them.
